We are not the government — here's exactly what that means

US Passport Assist is a private document-preparation and expediting company. We are not the U.S. Department of State, not USPS, and not affiliated with or endorsed by any government agency.

Only the government issues passports

Every U.S. passport is issued exclusively by the U.S. Department of State. No private company — including us — can issue one, influence approval, or skip the government's own queue beyond the expediting options the State Department itself offers.

You can always apply directly, for free assistance

You may apply on your own at travel.state.gov and pay only the government's fees. Our service fee buys review, preparation, photo-compliance checking, assembled mailing with tracking, and status updates — the things that prevent the delays and rejections that cost travelers weeks.

Two separate fees, always itemized

At checkout you see our service fee and the government's fees as separate lines. Government fees are set by the U.S. Department of State and are never marked up. Depending on your application type and the service you select, they are collected with your order or paid separately.
